Halloween

Last month Caleb and Maicah went to a couple of pumpkin patches and they went trunk or treating. Caleb was an ear of corn this year. Maicah was supposed to be a knight or king of some sort, but at the last minute he decided he did not want to wear the armor and cape. Instead, he opted for the crown and his Spiderman shirt---obviously, a much better combination. (see the other pictures in the photo albums.)

Caleb's Fighting Back

He's no longer a helpless lump of tenderness. Caleb is now able to pounce on Maicah with ninja-like stealth when he is least expecting it, or as Maicah says "caleb smash me."

Caleb's Crawling

He's getting himself into all sorts of trouble: getting stuck under chairs, behind doors, and rolling down the 2 steps we have in our house. He's very excited, however, Maicah is not sharing the same enthusiasm. Maicah's making every effort to make himself known as the alpha male, but caleb seems to just ignore him or smile.

Growing Up

Maicah is now beginning to look through some of his picture books while he's on the can. He really enjoys reading his bathroom literature.

A Day at the Beach

Discovering New Things

Maicah has recently discovered the miracle of popcorn, and Caleb is now able to push himself off the ground for several minutes at a time. No crawling yet.

I traveled to Chicago this past weekend to see my brother graduate boot camp. Now he's off to Corpsman "A" School at NTC until October. After that he will be going to Field Medical Service School in either Camp Lejune or Camp Pendleton. He's following in my footsteps. Bravo Zulu, bro! Hoorah!

6 Wonderful Years of Marriage

On May 22nd Danica and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary, which coincidentally was the day after Jess and Mitch's wedding. We spent the day in Napa Valley enjoying the vineyards and touring the wineries. We had a great time last weekend in San Francisco.

Jess and Mitch's Wedding

I had the priviledge of being part of one of the most important days of one of my best friend's life. The entire wedding was fantastic! It was momentous start to what I expect will be a lifelong romance. My dear friends, I pray that God would bless your marriage and your future together. Live long and be well!!!

Serious Business

Maicah has learned how to use his CD player and distinguish the differences between CDs in his collection. Here he is in a careful and serious display of his newly aquired skills.

Hair Cut by Daddy

Here was my attempt to give my son a haircut. It could have been worse, but I excercised self-control and stopped while I was ahead.

First Contact

The first week has gone better than anyone could have anticipated. Maicah is taking on his role as a big brother quite well. He is helping his little brother in anyway he can and he is always eager to hold him. Below is a picture of Maicah giving Caleb a good night kiss. God has blessed us with two wonderful little boys.
