Maicah Had Presents, Too

Maicah wasn't left out. He opened his presents the next day and loved every one of them. These new toys will keep him busy while mommy is in the hospital. Thank you!!

An ICU Baby Shower

The lovely ladies I work with came together to celebrate the imminent arrival of our second son with food, presents, and fun. Unfortunately, not everyone who was there is in these pictures. Some nurses were working hard to keep their patients alive so they had to just come in and out as they could.

Bonding Time with Daddy

For the past few weeks Maicah has wanted to be my little shadow. He wants to be part of every task that his daddy is doing.

Saturday's Forecast: Baby Shower

Crystal threw a baby shower for Danica here at our home, and by all accounts it was a success. The estrogen was seething out of every window sill and would have suffocated the males in the house who were prematurely picking at the hors d'oeuvres, had they not left before the main event started. The air was filled the feminine manic obsessions of cuteness, little clothes, and babies. The events included diaper changing olympics, a scrabble-like game with Caleb James' name, and a 20 questions game of nursery rhymes. Danica and I have been tremendously blessed by everyone's generosity. We want to especially thank Crystal Gillespie.
